Our craft

Nothing we sell is bought ready-made and relabelled. Every scent starts as a composition of our own, and every bottle is filled by hand in Tbilisi.

Composition

A scent begins as an idea, then a formula — proportions of perfumer-grade oils worked and reworked until the thing on the blotter matches the thing in the head. When it does, it gets the next free number. Not before. Some ideas never earn one.

Batches

We blend in small batches. Small enough that one person oversees a batch start to finish; small enough that "sold out" is a real state, not a marketing one. Each batch is made to the original formula. We do not tweak formulas to cut costs, and we do not re-issue them — when a composition ends, it ends.

Filling and finishing

Bottles are filled, capped, labelled and boxed by hand. Hand-poured candles and cold-process soap behave the way hand-finished objects do: minor variations in colour and surface between batches are normal and left alone. Machines are more consistent. They are also not us.

One scent, every form

The same fragrance oils go into the perfume, the candle, the diffuser and the soap carrying the same number. That is harder than it sounds — a scent behaves differently in wax, in alcohol and in a soap base, and each form is adjusted until the number smells like itself everywhere.

The proof is on the tester shelf: 9 Merab Kostava St, daily 12:00–22:00.
